Social Security number, Driver's license number, Financial account numbers

Notification Requirements

  • Written notice
  • Electronic notice permitted

Exemptions

  • Encrypted data
  • Good faith acquisition
  • HIPAA-covered entities

Penalties

Consumer Protection Act violations, up to $10,000 per violation
