Even though MySpace was not popular anymore, hackers sold 360 million old MySpace accounts. If you ever had a MySpace and used that password elsewhere, hackers could get into those other accounts.
What Happened
MySpace suffered one of the largest breaches ever with 360 million accounts exposed. The data was from before June 2013 and appeared for sale in 2016. Passwords were weakly hashed with SHA1.
